Duties:
Role:
Advises new and existing members with their financial wellness needs, opens and closes various types of accounts, processes transactions, resolves account problems, and provides advice regarding other products and services of the Credit Union. Follow the credit union mission and member promise statements.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Assists members with opening and closing accounts, processes transactions, and addresses and resolves member problems, inquiries, or complaints. Refers problems to supervisor as needed, along with recommendations for resolution. Advise members on products and services that will meet their financial needs. Maintains accurate member account information and prepares required reports for management. Acts as liaison between members and various departments. Cross-sells Credit Union products and services. Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including filing, copying, data input, and answering the telephone. Performs other job related duties as assigned.

1. Provide informed, prompt, and accurate service to all members and associates by greeting and waiting on members in a timely manner. 2. Open individual accounts, certificates of deposit, and other Credit Union products or services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures, ensuring all related forms and documents are completed and filed/scanned in a timely manner. 3. Carry out assigned duties and responsibilities with minimal errors according to established credit union standards. 4. Actively advise members on products and services to achieve or exceed 100% of all established individual, branch and credit union strategic performance goals. 5. Proactively seek opportunities to identify appropriate products and services for the greater benefit of the member. 6. Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness. 7. Maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
Additional Desired Attributes:
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience One month to twelve months of similar or related experience. Education No high school diploma required. Interpersonal Skills Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information. Other Skills General office equipment such as calculators, computers, photocopiers, and scanners. Includes the ability to operate encoding, coin counting, and cash counting machines. Basic knowledge of established teller procedures and policies. Understanding of Credit Union operations. Maintains confidentiality related to Credit Union operations and work-related information.
