This includes being the instructional leader of the campus and a dedicated mentor to our staff. This leader bridges the need to maintain high levels of academic engagement while ensuring each student has an enjoyable, safe and memorable summer experience.

M•TH from 7:30am•2:30pm Job Description/Key Responsibilities Lead implementation of Summer Academy under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent and the District Coordinator of Student Support. Oversee the delivery of our 80-hour instructional dosage, ensuring that every minute of the 5-hour day is optimized for student growth.
Instructional Leadership:
Serve as the primary champion for our evidence-based literacy instruction. Ensure that the strategies and tools learned during professional learning are executed with high fidelity in every classroom. Informally supervise and provide feedback to teachers, assistants, office staff and students while fostering a trauma-informed, high-energy environment where students feel seen, supported, and excited to learn. Leverage a specialized co-teaching model to engage in collective data analysis and continuous progress monitoring, ensuring all instructional shifts are data-driven and evidence-based. Cultivate authentic family partnerships by engaging in reciprocal communication and creating meaningful opportunities for parents to co-lead the student's learning. Implement culturally relevant outreach strategies to ensure families are well informed, heard, and integrated into our shared summer experience. Formalize a Cumulative Program Evaluation that aggregates high-dosage tutoring data, student literacy gains, and stakeholder survey results to provide a data-driven narrative of summer success. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Communication:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, staff, and district administration.
Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative team environment and lead diverse groups toward common goals.
Experience:
Proven track record in a supervisory or administrative role within an educational setting.
Licensure & Education:
Must hold a valid Oregon Teaching License and a Master's degree in Education or a related field.
Instructional Expertise:
Deep functional knowledge of ELD, Constructing Meaning, GLAD, or SIOP instructional frameworks.
Equity Focus:
Commitment to equity-centered decision-making and a history of advocating for inclusive practices. In preparation for the Summer Learning Program, staff may complete additional planning, coordination, and preparation work during evenings and weekends as the regular school year concludes. Additional preparation hours may be assigned and are not tied to specific days or times. Flexibility and collaboration will be necessary to ensure readiness for program implementation. Compensation
