Job Summary Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Seasonal Cook in Eagle River, Wisconsin, where your culinary skills will help create memorable experiences for campers and staff alike! As a Summer Camp Cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, delicious meals that cater to diverse dietary needs while maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment. Duties Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, ensuring quality and presentation meet high standards Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients efficiently and safely Maintain proper food handling procedures in compliance with food safety regulations to ensure hygiene and sanitation Support Kitchen Staff Team with the setup and breakdown of meal service areas, including buffet lines or plated service stations Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, organized, and functioning properly; perform routine cleaning duties Collaborate the Kitchen Staff and Kitchen Manager to ensure timely delivery of food to campers and staff Skills Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong background in meal preparation within a fast-paced environment Experience in food industry settings such as restaurants, catering, or fine dining establishments Excellent food handling, cooking, and food safety skills with knowledge of proper sanitation practices Proficiency in culinary techniques including knife skills, food presentation, and ingredient preparation Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of dietary accommodations and allergy management to ensure safe meal options for all campers This role offers an engaging opportunity for culinary enthusiasts who thrive in lively environments.
