Summer Camp Facilities Staff

Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections of camp grounds, activity areas, and facilities to ensure safety standards are met and maintained. Assist with setting up and breaking down activity spaces, including sports fields, arts and crafts areas, and theater spaces. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep all facilities tidy, organized, and inviting for campers and staff. Support emergency preparedness by familiarizing yourself with safety protocols such as first aid procedures and behavior management strategies. Help manage equipment storage areas, ensuring all supplies are properly stored and accounted for. Collaborate with camp staff to coordinate logistics for daily activities, special events, and outings. Respond promptly to facility-related issues or repairs to minimize disruptions to camp programming. Qualifications Previous experience working with children or in childcare settings is preferred but not required. Knowledge of classroom management techniques or behavior management strategies is advantageous. Certification in first aid or CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is expected. Familiarity with early childhood education principles or special education needs is a plus. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining clean and safe facilities. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and camp participants.
