Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of cabins, common areas, dining halls, bathrooms, and recreational spaces to uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and specialized floor care techniques to ensure safety and appearance Handle janitorial tasks such as waste disposal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting surfaces regularly throughout the day Assist with deep cleaning projects including carpet cleaning, window washing, and industrial cleaning tasks as needed Follow established health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for campers and staff Collaborate with camp management to prioritize cleaning schedules during peak activity times or special events Keep detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues promptly Skills Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services with a focus on maintaining cleanliness in busy environments Knowledge of floor care techniques including mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning methods Previous hotel or hospitality experience is highly desirable for understanding service standards and guest expectations Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies to handle large-scale sanitation tasks efficiently Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely and work independently or as part of a team Excellent time management skills to complete daily duties within designated schedules Experience in housekeeping management or supervising custodial staff is a plus but not required This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in active environments and are committed to creating a clean, safe space where campers can enjoy their summer fully.
