Summer Camp Kitchen Assistant

Position Summary The Camp Kitchen Assistant supports the kitchen team in preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for campers and staff. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming kitchen and dining environment while helping create a positive camp experience for everyone. Key Responsibilities Assist cooks with meal preparation and food service for all meals and snacks Prepare and serve food in a safe, sanitary, and presentable manner Assist with daily food service operations for campers and staff Wash, peel, and prep ingredients as needed Store food and leftovers at proper temperatures Assist with inventory and stocking of kitchen supplies and food items Keep food, supplies, and equipment stored neatly and safely Clean kitchen equipment, work areas, and dining hall Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining hall Follow all food safety and personal hygiene practices Assist during meal service by providing supplies and replenishing items as needed Workplace Expectations & Conduct Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all areas of camp operations Support a respectful and supportive workplace Work cooperatively with all kitchen staff and camp team members Demonstrate teamwork, compassion, and professionalism Help create a welcoming and positive environment for campers, staff, and guests Be vigilant in identifying and addressing safety concerns in and around the kitchen and dining hall Observe camper and staff behavior and communicate concerns to the Cook or Kitchen Supervisor before taking any corrective action Personal Appearance & Serving Standards Closed-toe shoes are required No tank tops No dangling jewelry Proper personal hygiene is required at all times No eating or drinking during meal service No gum chewing during meal service Follow appropriate serving manners at all times Team Values We believe our staff is our most important asset. Pay:
