Job Description

JOB The Upward Bound Math Science Program is looking for a creative, experienced Curriculum Developer to design and deliver engaging, hands-on courses tailored specifically for high school students in our upcoming summer program. This program provides students with opportunities to strengthen their skills in mathematics and science while preparing for success in higher education.

Responsibilities for this role include: Collaborate with program coordinators and educators to identify learning objectives and program goals.

Research and gather relevant educational resources, including textbooks, online materials, and academic journals.

Design a comprehensive curriculum framework that aligns with program objectives and meets the needs of diverse learners.

Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and hands-on activities that promote active learning and student engagement.

Create a supportive learning environment for all students.

Incorporate technology and multimedia tools to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

Create assessments and evaluation tools to measure student progress and program effectiveness.

Revise and update curriculum materials based on feedback from instructors, students, and program stakeholders.

Provide training and support to program staff on implementing the curriculum effectively.

Collaborate with the program evaluation team to collect and analyze data on student outcomes and program impact.

To be considered, you will need: Bachelor's degree in education, curriculum development, or a related field (Master's degree preferred); preferably in mathematics or science education.

Knowledge of educational theories, pedagogical approaches, and best practices in curriculum design.

Strong research skills and ability to synthesize complex information into clear and accessible materials.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working with a variety of student backgrounds and relevant teaching strategies.

Proficiency in educational technology tools and software.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
