Summer Hire - 01024301 Description Weyerhaeuser Cottage Grove Lumber is currently seeking temporary Summer Hires. We offer an emphasis on safety, excellent wage, great working environment with a variety of job duties including cleaning work areas, painting, brush & blackberry removal, yard cleanup, pressure washing, and general housekeeping in a manufacturing environment. The hourly rate is $25.77 per hour. Candidates will work full-time primarily on dayshift, but nights, weekends, and swing shift may be required. Qualifications For 2026 graduates, must be 18 years of age by the start date of 6/19/2026. For 2026 graduates, must have their High School diploma or GED obtained by 6/19/2026. For 2026 graduates, must have plans to pursue additional education or technical training after graduation (e.g college, trade school, apprenticeship, workforce training, or military. For college students, must be in between semesters or recently graduated. Must be able to work in the United States. Must successfully pass the assessment process. Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical. Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures, in dusty and noisy conditions, work from heights, and in confined/ restricted areas. Able to bend, twist, stoop, push and pull and able to lift on occasion up to 50 pounds. Must wear all safety equipment and adhere to safe work practices. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Able to work in a cooperative team structured work system and meet changing requirements and needs. Able to meet attendance requirements. Able to perform other duties as assigned or required.
