Summer School Teacher

School Teacher's for Summer Camps Excel Academy in Southlake is hiring School teachers for the Summer Camps. This is a full-time position. Excel Academy is a private preschool that offers stimulating education programs designed to help children in social, cognitive, and academic growth

Daily Times:

7:30 PM

• 6:30 PM Excel Academy offers Pre-School and After school care for school age children from 12 Weeks
• 11.

We provide a stimulating education programs designed to help children in social, cognitive, and academic growth. We provide experiences in supervised school homework, Math, Reading Comprehension, chess club programs and many more. Our well-planned programs help the children improve their critical thinking and academic skills and help them prepare for ISD assessment tests such as STAAR, GT, etc., as well as preparing them for future challenges such as SAT.

Requirements:

• Experience in a licensed facility and/or pursuing a degree or coursework towards early childhood education will be a plus.

Job Duties:

• Capable to work with individual and small groups of children of age group 5-12
• Must be able to use

POSITIVE

language in all interactions with children, parents and other staff members

• May need to drive a 15-seater van for Field trips
• Must be flexible and assist wherever needed throughout the school
• Participates in 15 hours of clock training per year, as required by the state minimum standards
• Be familiar with and carry out crisis procedures along with other staff (fire drills, tornado drills and chemical release drills)
• Maintains a neat and professional appearance as a model to students and other staff members
• Treat each child with dignity and respect
• Implement smooth transitions within the children's daily schedule
• Consider each child in relationship to his/her cultural background
• Duties would include but not limited to the nurturing and care of children, implementation of curriculum, parent communication Candidates must have or be able to obtain prior to employment CPR and First Aid Certification, pass an FBI fingerprint background check, but these can be fulfilled upon hire.
