  • Education and Professional Development Assistance The Test Lab Technician Supervisor will oversee our lab operations and support our team of technicians in carrying out high-quality testing processes.
The ideal candidate will manage daily activities in the lab, maintain safety and quality standards, and ensure efficient testing workflows. This role is critical in maintaining our company's commitment to quality and innovation.
Supervise Laboratory Operations:
Oversee daily lab activities, ensuring testing procedures are followed accurately and safely.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor a team of lab technicians, provide training and development opportunities, and manage performance.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and regulatory guidelines, conducting regular audits of testing procedures and lab processes.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to optimize testing protocols, improve workflow, and reduce testing time while maintaining accuracy and precision.
Data Management:
Oversee accurate and timely recording of test results and maintain lab records.
Equipment Maintenance:
Coordinate calibration, maintenance, and repairs of lab equipment to ensure functionality and accuracy.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce lab safety protocols, ensure technicians follow proper procedures, and conduct regular safety training and inspections.
Collaboration:
Work closely with product development, engineering, and quality assurance teams to support testing requirements for new and existing products.
Job Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or Laboratory Science) or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a test lab technician or in a related role. Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership position is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in lab testing techniques, familiarity with lab equipment, and strong understanding of quality and safety standards.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a team and manage conflict effectively. Attention to
Detail:
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in conducting and overseeing tests.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to identify issues quickly and implement practical solutions within lab operations. Physical Demand Requirements Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers to touch, pick or pinch objects; reach with hands and arms; push or pull; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use foot or leg controls; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. For all jobs no one should lift over 50lbs on their own. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
