Position Summary Renaissance Electronics is looking to add a Supplier Development and Quality Assurance Manager to join the team. This role will develop and maintain quality systems, drive supplier performance improvement, and strengthen the supply chain capability to support operational excellence. This role ensures that purchased materials, components, and services consistently meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements. This position is both strategic and hands-on, requiring strong leadership, process and data driven discipline, and the ability to influence suppliers and internal stakeholders. The manager partners closely with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and Customer teams to resolve issues, reduce cost of poor quality, and ensure readiness for new product introductions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the Quality Management Systems, including all quality related certifications/registrations (AS9100) Direct product quality through the use of standardized quality methodology in all phases of product life, resulting in products that meet or exceed customer needs. Review processes for satisfactory performance or corrections by performing internal audits. Initiate, write and review quality procedures and documentation for improvements and customer requirements. Conduct supplier capability assessments to address gaps in products, materials and services needed and drive improvement plans to enhance process controls, documentation, and quality performance. Evaluate supplier risk, support sourcing decisions, and develop long-term supplier capability roadmaps. Oversee incoming inspection, material disposition, and nonconformance management. Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes using structured methodologies (8D, DMAIC, Ishikawa, 5 Whys). Lead supplier corrective actions and verify long-term effectiveness. Work with Engineering to communicate project requirements to suppliers, ensuring alignment with industry standards and the company's QMS, specification clarity, and change management. Review of customer specification for qualification and determine environmental cost. Perform review of customer documentation and engineering change orders. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by ensuring supplier readiness, PPAP/FAI completion, and quality planning. Collaborate with Operations to resolve production issues, improve yield, and enhance process capability. Establish and monitor quality KPIs, including supplier OTD, internal defect rates, and cost of poor quality and act as required. Champion a culture of quality, prevention, and continuous improvement across the organization and supply base. Implement lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce variation, improve process capability, and eliminate waste. Evaluate Quality Rating for Supplier performance and take necessary action as required. Manage direct reports on the performance of their duties. Participate in the forecast review. Participate in the Executive Communication Meeting for Review of all Metrics, Corrective Actions, Preventative Actions, analysis of trends etc. and generate the minutes of the meeting per

Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, Supply Chain or related technical field and/or equivalent experience 5+ years' experience in a leadership role minimum in operations/quality preferred Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, FMEA, SPC, PPAP. APQP) ISO experience Understanding of mechanical drawings Experience in flowing down quality standards and resolving drawing issues with workable plans Preferred Qualifications Experience in a microwave and RF manufacturing environment preferred Experience in AS9100 environment preferred Knowledge of Electrical schematics/RF circuit design is a plus Experience in low volume, high-mix manufacturing preferred Salary Description $100,000.00
