Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Chain & Contracts Manager is responsible for managing procurement, supplier performance, material planning, and contract negotiation to ensure reliable, cost-effective supply of goods and services. This role oversees the full supply chain cycle—strategic sourcing, vendor management, inventory control, logistics, and contract compliance—while supporting operational excellence and cost reduction initiatives. The Supply Chain & Contracts Manager works closely with engineering, quality, finance, and operations to support production schedules and customer commitments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Chain & Procurement Management Lead procurement activities for materials, components, equipment, and services. Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality supply. Maintain approved supplier lists, supplier scorecards, and performance metrics. Oversee inventory levels, MRP planning, and demand forecasting to support production schedules. Ensure timely purchase order placement, follow-up, and on-time delivery. Contracts Administration Draft, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts, service agreements, NDAs, and terms & conditions. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Manage contract renewals, amendments, and risk assessments. Work with legal counsel on complex or high-value agreements. Maintain accurate contract records and documentation. Supplier Management & Risk Mitigation Develop strong supplier relationships to improve quality, delivery, and cost performance. Conduct supplier audits and evaluations in coordination with Quality. Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure continuity of supply. Resolve supplier issues, discrepancies, and nonconformances (pricing, delivery, quality). Cost Management & Process Optimization Lead cost-reduction initiatives and negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and volume agreements. Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for consolidation and strategic sourcing. Improve procurement processes, workflows, and policies to drive efficiency. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for procurement-related costs. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering on new product introductions, material specifications, and sourcing. Coordinate with production and logistics to support build schedules and customer programs. Partner with finance on invoicing, cost tracking, and vendor payment issues. Support business development with cost estimates and contract requirements. Logistics & Inventory Control Manage inbound and outbound logistics, freight optimization, and shipping compliance. Ensure accurate inventory transactions, cycle counts, and warehouse material handling. Maintain safety stock levels and lead times within ERP/MRP systems. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. 5-8 years of procurement, supply chain, or contracts experience. Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract administration skills. Experience with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of aerospace, aviation, or regulated industry requirements (preferred). Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience in aerospace interiors, MRO, or manufacturing. Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, flow-down requirements, and government/commercial contracting. APICS/CPIM, CPSM, or similar supply chain certification. Experience integrating supply chain processes after acquisitions or organizational changes.
