Day shift, subject to operational requirements Job description: Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. is seeking a Supply Technician to support ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System (TJS) maintenance and production for U.S. Navy Fleet Readiness Center Northwest (FRCNW) at NAS Whidbey Island. This role provides technical supply and Material Control support for
ALQ-99 TJS
Intermediate-Level and Depot-Level maintenance operations. The Supply Technician supports parts and material requisitioning, receiving, expediting, status tracking, inventory support, pack-up/pre-expended bin support, and communication of material status to Maintenance Control and the contractor maintenance team. The Government retains overall management responsibility for Material Control, OPTAR, and Aviation Fleet Maintenance funding; this position supports those functions in accordance with FRCNW direction, supply procedures, and local work-center requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the unit Material Control division while the Government retains overall responsibility and management of Material Control, OPTAR, and AFM funding functions.
  • Research, order, receive, track, and document parts and materials needed to support
ALQ-99 TJS WRA/SRA
maintenance, repair, testing, and ready-for-issue production.
  • Expedite repairable and consumable material requisitions through the supply system and keep Maintenance Control, the Site Supervisor, and maintenance technicians informed of status changes.
  • Maintain pack-up and pre-expended bin inventories, including inventory accuracy, location tracking, usage tracking, replenishment support, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Support inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization, and supply documentation for depot, local, or other supply activities tied to ALQ-99 maintenance support.
  • Coordinate with maintenance technicians, Government supply representatives, Maintenance Control, and other designated points of contact to resolve material availability, substitution, documentation, receipt, issue, turn-in, or status problems.
  • Use applicable supply/logistics systems, records, forms, and documentation methods as directed by FRCNW/COR and local procedures. Systems may include Navy maintenance/supply data sources such as NALCOMIS, OOMA/OIMA, AMPS, or related Government systems as required.
  • Support Technical Directive compliance, Support Equipment PMS, maintenance documentation, and production schedules by helping ensure required parts and materials are identified, ordered, received, and tracked.
  • Comply with tool control, HAZMAT, safety, records management, security, PII/CUI, and local base/work-center requirements.
  • Interface with, but not manage, Government-operated Tool Room or HAZMAT programs when supply actions require coordination with those functions.

SCA Alignment:
This role performs limited aspects of technical supply management work, such as inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Assignments usually involve standardized segments of supply operations and require a working knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, organizational needs, and analytical ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and take or recommend action based on established guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.
  • U.S. citizenship; ability to maintain Secret eligibility, obtain/maintain CAC, and meet NAS Whidbey Island base access requirements.
  • Supply, logistics, inventory control, material control, warehouse, aviation supply, technical supply management, parts expediting, or comparable experience.
  • Ability to research, order, receive, track, expedite, document, and follow up on repairable and consumable material requisitions.
  • Ability to work with maintenance personnel and supply channels to communicate material status, resolve discrepancies, and support production priorities.
  • Ability to follow established supply policies, local procedures, safety requirements, documentation standards, and Government work-center processes.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and learn/use Government-directed supply, maintenance, or reporting systems.
  • Ability to work day shift and support schedule changes or occasional weekend/holiday work if operationally required. Preferred Qualifications
  • Navy aviation supply, NAVSUP, MILSTRIP, NALCOMIS/OOMA/OIMA, AMPS, pack-up/pre-expended bin, depot/I-Level maintenance support, avionics, electronic warfare, or ALQ-99 support experience.
  • Experience supporting Government or DoD material control functions in a production, maintenance, or depot environment.
  • Familiarity with maintenance control, technical directive support, repairable tracking, consumable replenishment, requisition status codes, and records retention.
General Program Information:
Program:
Support U.S. Navy Fleet Readiness Center Northwest (FRCNW) ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System (TJS) production and maintenance at NAS Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor, WA.
Scope:
Intermediate-Level (I-Level) and Depot-Level (D-Level) off-aircraft maintenance support for
ALQ-99 TJS
pods, components, weapon-replaceable assemblies (WRAs), shop-replaceable assemblies (SRAs), and associated support equipment. Work includes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, WRA/SRA inspection and repair, troubleshooting, functional testing, preservation/de-preservation, technical directive compliance/modifications, maintenance documentation, material support, and basic corrosion prevention/treatment incidental to the maintenance action.
Work Center:
Work is performed in a Government work center coordinated with FRCNW/COR-designated Government maintenance representatives. Contractor personnel may work alongside an I-Level military workforce. This is a new workload requirement with no incumbent contractor workforce.
Schedule:
Current expected maintenance shifts are day shift 0630-1500 and swing shift 1430-2300. Assigned shift depends on program need. A straight-time CONUS work week is generally 40 hours. Weekend/holiday work or shift changes may be required by operational commitment, with advance notice when practicable.
Security:
Active DoD Secret clearance is required for performance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens able to maintain Secret eligibility, obtain/maintain a Common Access Card (CAC), and meet NAS Whidbey Island base access requirements.
Compliance:
Personnel must follow applicable Navy aviation maintenance procedures, CNAFINST 4790.2/NAMP requirements, NAMPSOP/local work-center procedures, Ground Operations Procedures, FOD prevention, tool control, HAZMAT, ESD/EMI, corrosion control, METCAL, IMRL, Support Equipment PMS, 2M, Technical Directive compliance, safety, records, and security requirements.
Travel:
No planned TDY, OCONUS, or shipboard travel is expected at this time; contingency travel may arise if future mission needs require it.
Pay:
$35.70
