Surgical Scheduling Coordinator

Duties Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling patient appointments for outpatient procedures as required Communicate clearly with patients to provide pre-procedure/post-procedure instructions via telephone and e-mail Obtain necessary medical clearances and documentation from patients Handle phone calls and inquiries from patients and healthcare providers in a timely manner Accurately note and document all patient information Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy Skills Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of surgical procedures Experience working in a medical receptionist or office setting Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance Ability to navigate electronic medical record systems Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes Proficient in general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and scheduling Excellent organizational and time management skills Previous Surgical Scheduling experience, 3 yrs+ Bilingual- Spanish preferred Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
