$1,900 - $1,950 / Week Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety protocols. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in assisting surgeons during operative procedures, preparing operating rooms, and ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and efficiency are maintained throughout surgical operations. Your expertise will contribute significantly to positive patient outcomes and smooth surgical workflows. Duties Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging surgical tools, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for procedures. Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgeries by passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies with precision and care. Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety throughout all phases of surgery. Monitor and manage surgical equipment, troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize delays during procedures. Document surgical procedures accurately, including instrument counts, materials used, and any intraoperative observations. Support preoperative preparations by verifying patient information, positioning patients appropriately, and ensuring comfort. Assist in postoperative cleanup and sterilization of instruments to prepare for subsequent surgeries. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to promote a safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical environment. Requirements Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program; certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent is preferred. Proven experience working in operating rooms within a hospital or surgical center setting. Comprehensive knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and procedural protocols. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism. Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
