Survey Party Chief

Southern Development & Construction, Inc, is seeking an experienced and motivated Survey Party Chief to join our team. Potential candidates must be willing to work in a team atmosphere, possess a strong work ethic, and have a comprehensive understanding of the surveying industry. Emphasis on site development and as-built survey is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Existing conditions verification to ensure the reliability of survey by others matches information used for design. Provide coordination with clients, contractors, and office staff for multiple projects at a time. Communicate with management and field personnel, in a positive manner, to maximize efforts related scope, and budget. Always represent the company in a professional manner.

Position Requirements:

Able to manage survey crew and communicate with clients, and other personnel to ensure efficient and successful project completion. Minimum of three (2) years of experience working with site construction. Experience with utility mapping, construction staking, and as-built surveys. Knowledge of data collector, robotic total station, GPS, and automatic levels for data collection, with the ability to adapt to new equipment and technologies. Manage and coordinate the field portion of as-builts to ensure efficient, thorough, and timely completion of required surveys.
