Responsibilities Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to alter garments, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and resizing Ensure all alterations meet high-quality standards with attention to detail and craftsmanship Communicate clearly with colleagues about tailoring requests, timelines, and options Maintain a clean, organized workspace with all sewing tools, machines, and materials properly stored Collaborate with sales associates to provide seamless service and support customer satisfaction Keep track of alteration orders, progress, and completion times efficiently Qualifications Proven experience in garment construction, sewing, or alterations tailoring within a fashion retail environment Proficiency with sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques for various fabrics and garment types Strong understanding of garment fitting, fabric behavior, and sewing machine operation Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Basic math skills for measuring, pattern adjustments, and calculations related to garment alterations Knowledge of fashion retail operations is preferred but not required Ability to sit for extended periods, work efficiently under pressure, and pay close attention to detail Join us as an Alterations Tailor where your craftsmanship transforms everyday clothing into perfectly fitted pieces that boost confidence.
