Job Description
Summary The Talent Acquisition & Community Relations Specialist is responsible for attracting, recruiting, and developing talent pipelines to support staffing needs across shop and office operations. This role combines full-cycle recruiting with community outreach and workforce partnership development to strengthen the company's presence as an employer of choice. This position serves as a key ambassador for the company by building relationships with trade schools, workforce development organizations, community groups, staffing partners, and local agencies to create sustainable hiring pipelines and support long-term workforce needs. Key accountabilities include reducing time-to-fill, improving candidate quality, strengthening community partnerships, and increasing visibility of the company within local labor markets. Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruitment for general labor, skilled trades, and other hourly positions Screen applications, conduct interviews, and coordinate hiring decisions with leadership and hiring managers Develop and maintain relationships with staffing agencies, ensuring accountability for candidate quality, responsiveness, and cost management Source candidates through community partnerships, referrals, social media, workforce programs, and direct outreach efforts Build and maintain relationships with trade schools, technical colleges, workforce development organizations, local government agencies, and community groups to develop long-term talent pipelines Represent the company at job fairs, hiring events, technical school functions, community outreach events, and workforce development initiatives Coordinate and participate in community engagement activities that promote the company brand and support recruiting efforts Partner with Operations and Leadership to forecast labor needs and adjust recruiting strategies accordingly Track recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, retention, candidate source effectiveness, and hiring trends Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and provide regular recruiting activity reports Support onboarding processes to ensure a positive candidate and new hire experience Promote the company as an employer of choice within the community and surrounding labor markets Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recruiting, workforce development, community outreach, or related experience Prior experience recruiting for industrial, manufacturing, skilled trades, or high-volume hourly environments preferred Experience developing relationships with community organizations, trade schools, or workforce development agencies preferred Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills Ability to build relationships with candidates, community partners, and operational leaders Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and applicant tracking systems Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now preferred Ability to travel up to 30% of the time Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
