$47,000 / annually Position Summary The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a motivated and relationship-driven individual who will support regional workforce growth by building a strong network of college talent interested in relocating to Northern Kentucky. This entry-level role focuses on connecting with post-secondary institutions, career services teams, and students to create a steady pipeline of graduates aligned with employer needs in Northern Kentucky. This position will play a key role with the NKY Works team in shaping the future workforce of Northern Kentucky by connecting emerging talent with meaningful career opportunities.
Responsibilities/ Duties:
Essential:
Develop and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, and technical programs within a 200-mile radius of Covington, KY Partner with career services offices, faculty, and student organizations to promote Northern Kentucky career opportunities Identify and engage graduating students interested in relocating to the region Coordinate and attend career fairs, campus visits, classroom presentations, and recruitment events Maintain a database of prospective candidates and referral partners and implement ongoing communication, following a defined plan As appropriate, use social media to increase NKY brand awareness Collaborate with regional employers and workforce partners to align talent with hiring needs Track outreach efforts and report on pipeline development metrics and outcomes Support marketing and communications efforts to promote Northern Kentucky as a destination for early-career talent Collaborate with regional growth organizations such as meetNKY and BE NKY Growth Partnership and connect with the NKY Works focus areas to ensure strategy alignment
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Administration, Business, Human Services or a related field. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Highly organized with attention to detail and follow-through. Willingness to travel regionally (up to 200-mile radius). Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or CRM systems preferred.
Work Requirements:
Work is performed typically indoors in an office setting. It requires intermittent standing, sitting or stooping. Work requires consistent use of computer and other office equipment as well as mental capabilities. Approximately 50% of the Talent Acquisition Specialist's time will be spent traveling, regionally, within a 200-mile radius of Covington, Kentucky. Travel expense reimbursement will be provided. A valid driver's license is required.
