Our school has been in operation for 50 years and has a history of providing a fun and nurturing environment for early learners. We are looking for a warm and loving teacher for our 1-year-old room. The schedule would be Monday-Friday for 8 or 9 hours, with a 1 hour lunch break. The start date would be as soon as possible. Responsibilities Care for and supervise children 1 years old Create a happy and engaging learning environment for children, through daily songs, crafts, and exploratory play Plan developmentally appropriate experience to help children learn and grow Communicate daily with parents about each child's development Support and nurture children's emotional and social development Serve meals and monitor rest/nap periods Change diapers and keep a sanitary classroom Participate in team meetings and trainings Perform other duties as requested Adhere to school policies and the State of NJ child care center laws Desired/Required Skills and Qualifications Must submit to background check (required) Experience working with infants, toddlers and early learners (required) CDA or knowledge or coursework in child development (preferred) Responsible, caring and compassionate Engaging and warm with children Capable of communicating with parents and staff Self-directed Receptive to feedback and constructive criticism Reliable and on time Benefits PTO that grows with experience Paid professional development
