Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into an opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young adults by supporting their educational journey and empowering their independence. This contract position is tailored for a dedicated paraprofessional eager to assist students aged 18-26 as part of a vibrant Adult Transition Program. You'll collaborate with passionate educators and help students develop essential life, social, and vocational skills to thrive beyond the classroom. Your day will be filled with variety and purpose, working from 7:45 AM to 2:45/3:00 PM. Your impact will extend both inside and outside the classroom, as you accompany students on engaging community outings and help them gain real-world work experience at various job sites. What we're looking for: Previous experience as a paraprofessional in educational settings Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Reliable, patient, and flexible approach to supporting diverse needs Enthusiasm for assisting students in community and job-based learning Collaborative spirit to work with teachers, staff, and families What you'll do: Provide direct support to students, both one-on-one and in small groups Assist with instructional activities and individualized learning plans Accompany and supervise students during community-based outings and job site placements Encourage independence and help foster social, daily living, and vocational skills Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive environment for all students You'll play a vital role in preparing students for success beyond school.
