Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Here's an exciting opportunity for Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about working with upper elementary students! Two contract positions are available for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year in a supportive school-based environment near Sterling Heights, MI. This role allows you to make meaningful progress with students while maintaining flexibility in your schedule, with options for either a 4-day or 2-day workweek.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current or pending Speech-Language Pathology license CCC-SLP, pediatric SLP experience, or candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcome Demonstrated experience supporting school-aged children, especially upper elementary grades Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff Strong communication, documentation, and rapport-building skills
What You'll Do:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to upper elementary students as indicated in IEPs Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine communication needs and develop targeted goals Contribute to the development, implementation, and management of individualized education plans Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school professionals to integrate speech interventions across settings Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and provide resources Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential records in compliance with state and federal guidelines You'll find a welcoming environment dedicated to the success and growth of both students and staff.
