Job Description

Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Make a real difference by supporting students who are visually impaired in a specialized school environment. This contract opportunity near Peabody, MA, offers the chance to share your expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, helping students achieve their greatest potential. Flexible full-time and part-time schedules are available, and you'll be working onsite in a dedicated, collaborative setting. What you'll bring: Current VI Teacher License and MA DOE License Successful completion of MTELs Experience educating students who are visually impaired, preferably in a school setting A proactive, compassionate approach to helping students of varying needs Excellent communication and collaboration skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment Key responsibilities: Deliver engaging and individualized instruction to students with visual impairments Develop and implement students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families Adapt materials for diverse visual accessibility needs Track and report student progress, adjusting strategies to maximize learning Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment This role starts September 1, 2026 and runs through June 14, 2027, with schedules available for both part-time and full-time educators. You'll work alongside committed professionals and gain valuable experience supporting a distinct student population—making a real impact every day.
