Desired Qualifications:

Active Visually Impaired Teacher Certification and MA DOE License Successful completion of MTELs Experience working in school settings or with students who are visually impaired preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to meet individual student needs Passionate about fostering independence and accessibility

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and consultation to students who are visually impaired, individually or in groups Adapt educational materials, create accessible learning content, and recommend assistive technology Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement effective educational programs Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment Stay current with best practices and developments in the education of students with visual impairments This position is full-time or part-time, onsite, for the duration of the school year.
