Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Bring your expertise in teaching students with visual impairments to a rewarding onsite contract role supporting local schools in the Columbus, GA area for the 2026-2027 academic year. What We're Looking For:
Valid Georgia Educator Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Prior experience working with visually impaired students in a school setting is highly valued Commitment to onsite service delivery; this is not a remote/VOCO opportunity Strong organizational skills for accurate service documentation and daily logs Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff Adaptability to serve K-12, with a willingness to discuss placement based on your age group preference and experience at the interview stage
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver instructional support and resources to students with visual impairments in mainstream and specialized settings Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals related to vision services Consult with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to foster an inclusive environment Complete accurate, timely documentation of daily services rendered Participate in planning days as needed
