Job Description

Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract Make an impact as a dedicated educator working directly with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. This part-time contract opportunity offers meaningful, focused interaction—providing instruction and support tailored to each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Located onsite and just minutes from Van Buren, you'll work closely with an engaging student population and collaborate with school staff to foster growth and learning.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid certification as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Educator required Demonstrated experience teaching or supporting K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Strong understanding of developing and implementing IEPs Excellent communication, organization, and advocacy skills Ability to build rapport and deliver instruction one-on-one in an educational setting
Your Role:
Work part-time, providing direct instruction 1-1.5 hours daily, Tuesday through Friday Support students across elementary to high school levels, adapting your approach to individual needs and grade levels Engage actively with students to help them achieve IEP goals and foster their academic and personal growth Collaborate with other educational professionals to monitor progress, address challenges, and celebrate student successes Maintain thorough records and clear communication to ensure each student's needs are fully met Perks of the
