John the Evangelist Catholic School, located in Hydes, MD is seeking a qualified, full-time Teacher's Aide for Pre-K for the 2026-2027 academic school year. A Preschool Teacher's Aide supports the lead teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. The aide assists with classroom activities, supervises children, and helps promote social, emotional, and educational development while reinforcing faith-based principles. Essential Functions Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities

• Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap time, and outdoor activities Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Support children's social and emotional development through positive guidance and Catholic values Prepare and set up learning materials, crafts, and activities Help children with basic needs Monitor children's behavior and report concerns to the lead teacher Assist with record-keeping and documentation as needed Communicate respectfully with children, staff, and parents Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Model and encourage Catholic values such as kindness, respect, compassion, and gratitude Assist in simple prayers, religious activities, and age-appropriate faith formation Help foster a classroom environment rooted in Christian love and moral development Position Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow instructions and take initiative Basic organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy classroom environment Experience in a Catholic School setting preferred.

Coursework in early childhood education (preferred) Previous experience working with young children (preferred) CPR and First Aid certification (may be required or obtained after hire) Willingness to support the mission of the Catholic faith and the
