Job Description

Team Leader
  • Lead with Compassion, Grow with Purpose (Full-Time) We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join our team and support the delivery of exceptional care to individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health needs in Burnley.
This is a key leadership role where you will work alongside the Service Manager to ensure high-quality care, regulatory compliance , and the ongoing development of staff and service standards . About the Role As a Team Leader , you will: Support the Service Manager with the day-to-day management of the service. Ensure the service is appropriately staffed and operates in line with individuals' assessed needs. Oversee and maintain regulatory compliance (CQC, H&S, Safeguarding) and contribute to internal audits. Support with recruitment , onboarding, induction, and training of new staff. Manage supervisions, appraisals , and day-to-day performance of team members. Promote a positive and transparent working culture and model best practice across the service. Ensure person-centred care plans are regularly reviewed, up to date, and reflective of individual needs. Provide direct care and support when needed and lead the consistency of care across the service. Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders , including families, healthcare professionals, and commissioners. Monitor and support financial performance , including rota management, petty cash control, and budgeting tasks. Use internal systems including PeopleHR, Deputy, Nourish, Radar, Iplicit, and JobTrain to maintain accurate records.
What We're Looking For Essential:
Willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care. Experience supporting individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, or Mental Health conditions. Strong understanding of CQC, H&S, and Safeguarding regulations. Experience working in complex care environments. Confident in people management, team leadership, and performance management. Strong communication, decision-making, and IT skills. Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
Preferable:
Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care. Knowledge of community engagement, mentoring, and change management. Financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation experience.
