Hybrid, onsite 3 days per week Join a high-performance IT recruiting team where speed, quality, and relationships matter. We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Recruiter with agency-side IT staffing experience who knows how to compete and win in fast-moving client environments. This role will support a mix of competitive VMS/MSP staffing requirements and project/SOW-based hiring needs , where speed, quality, follow-up, and candidate control directly impact success. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the urgency of staffing, knows how to manage multiple technical openings at once, and can balance fast submittals with strong screening, clear communication, and a positive candidate experience. The ideal recruiter has experience filling a broad range of IT roles across areas such as software development, infrastructure, cloud, data, cybersecurity, ERP, business systems, project management, and technical support. Experience with automotive, engineering, manufacturing IT, or plant technology environments is helpful, but not required. This is a hybrid role based in the Troy, MI area. The recruiter should be comfortable working onsite several days per week and available to attend local networking events, hiring events, conferences, or in-person candidate/client meetings as needed. What You'll Do Work on competitive VMS/MSP requirements where speed, accuracy, follow-up, and quality submissions are critical. Support project-based and SOW staffing needs , including identifying talent for client delivery teams, project ramps, niche skill needs, and specialized technical requirements. Source, screen, interview, and qualify candidates quickly and effectively. Build strong candidate pipelines through job boards, internal databases, referrals, networking, LinkedIn, local market activity, events, and direct sourcing. Partner closely with sales, account managers, delivery teams, and hiring stakeholders to understand priority openings, technical needs, project timelines, and market challenges. Submit well-qualified candidates with accurate screening, clear recruiter summaries, rate/salary alignment, availability, location/work authorization details, and candidate interest confirmed. Manage multiple requisitions and priorities at once while keeping activity organized and moving forward. Maintain a strong sense of urgency while protecting candidate experience and submission quality. Build relationships with candidates in the local and national IT talent market. Track activity, pipeline health, submittals, interviews, offers, starts, and hires in a KPI-driven environment. Stay informed on IT hiring trends, market availability, rates, candidate motivations, and hard-to-fill technical skill areas. What We're Looking For Proven experience as an IT recruiter in the staffing agency world . Strong experience recruiting in a VMS/MSP, high-volume, or highly competitive staffing environment . Ability to recruit for a broad range of IT skill sets, including application development, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, data, ERP, business analysis, project management, and technical support. Understanding of contract staffing, contract-to-hire, direct hire, and project/SOW staffing models. Strong sense of urgency, speed to market, candidate quality, and follow-through. Ability to manage a busy desk, stay organized, and move multiple openings at once. Strong screening, interviewing, candidate qualification, and candidate control skills. Ability to understand technical requirements and quickly identify must-have versus nice-to-have skills. Excellent communication, follow-up, and relationship-building ability. Comfortable working in a metrics- and KPI-driven environment. Local to the Troy, MI area and able to work onsite 3 days per week. Able to attend local hiring events, networking opportunities, and in-person candidate or client meetings as needed. What Will Make You Stand Out Experience recruiting for project/SOW-based staffing needs , project ramps, managed services, or client delivery teams. Experience supporting VMS/MSP accounts where timing, quality, compliance, and submittal accuracy are critical. Experience recruiting for niche or hard-to-fill IT roles. Experience supporting clients in automotive, manufacturing, insurance, healthcare, financial services, public sector, or enterprise IT environments. Experience filling roles such as software engineers, cloud engineers, DevOps engineers, data engineers, cybersecurity analysts, network engineers, ERP consultants, business analysts, project managers, desktop/field support, and infrastructure specialists. Strong local network in the Michigan recruiting market. Track record of success with submittals, interviews, hires, starts, and revenue impact. Passion for building trust with candidates while delivering at speed.
