Job Description

Position Summary:
The Technologist Assistant supports imaging technologists in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This role ensures smooth workflow by preparing patients, maintaining equipment, and assisting with administrative and clinical tasks to optimize patient care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Preparation:
Greet and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner. Verify patient identity and ensure accurate documentation. Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and explaining the process.
Technologist Support:
Assist technologists during imaging procedures as needed. Handle and transport imaging equipment and accessories safely. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging rooms.
Administrative Duties:
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow. Enter and update patient information in the imaging system. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company privacy standards.
Equipment & Safety:
Perform basic equipment checks and report malfunctions promptly. Maintain stock of supplies and prepare rooms for procedures. Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in healthcare preferred). Previous experience in a healthcare or imaging environment is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with medical software.
