POSITION PURPOSE
- This job is responsible for the actuarial management of various functions and business segments.

Underwriting, Accounting, Marketing, Information Technology, Legal, Provider Network, Business Engineering, Finance, and other employees as needed.QUALIFICATIONS
- Education
- + Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, IT, Economics or other related field required + Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
- Work Experience
- + 5 years of experience as a health actuary required + 2 years of healthcare analytics experience or similar role may substitute for 2 years out of the 5 years of health actuary experience
- Skills and Abilities
- + Expert in actuarial uses of Excel and SQL + Excellent analytical and organizational abilities + Strong interpersonal and communication skills + Strong technical report writing skills required
- Licenses and Certifications
- + Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) Designation required + Member of the Academy of Actuaries required
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- + Develops and oversees maintenance of methods, systems, models and assumptions designed to project premium and claim amounts per member for the purpose of ensuring that budgeted pricing targets are as precise as possible.
