Job Summary Our client, a leading professional and technology services provider, is seeking a Data Science & AI Manager to lead a team of data scientists while driving complex analytical, machine learning, and AI initiatives across multiple workstreams. This role combines people leadership, technical oversight, delivery accountability, and strategic execution to translate business needs into scalable analytics and AI-driven solutions, including generative AI and agent-based systems. The Data Science & AI Manager will oversee the development of high-quality, production-ready models and AI systems while establishing data and model strategies aligned with organizational standards, governance, and long-term objectives. This role will help advance the organizations use of AI by moving solutions beyond experimentation into scalable capabilities that deliver measurable business impact. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role. Core Responsibilities Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, development, and performance management for a team of data scientists and analysts Plan workloads, prioritize initiatives, and allocate resources across multiple concurrent data science and AI projects Lead and oversee large-scale analytical and AI initiatives, including data acquisition, transformation, modeling, automation, and insight generation Provide technical oversight of analytical approaches, machine learning models, and AI systems to ensure sound methodology, reproducibility, and scientific rigor Guide the development of advanced statistical, machine learning, and AI solutions, including predictive models, computer vision, large language models, and agent-based systems Oversee the design and development of AI-enabled systems, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and agentic workflows Establish and enforce standards for model and AI system validation, monitoring, evaluation, documentation, reproducibility, quality assurance, and governance Partner with engineering, IT, data engineering, and data platform teams to enable scalable, reliable, and well-governed solutions Own delivery outcomes for data science and AI workstreams while managing risks, removing obstacles, and ensuring consistent execution Translate business objectives into analytical and AI priorities while balancing near-term delivery with long-term capability development Serve as a primary point of contact for business and functional leaders on analytics and AI initiatives Communicate project progress, risks, analytical findings, and AI outcomes clearly to technical and non-technical audiences Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) 8+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, statistics, data science, AI, financial consulting, computer science, or a related field Supervisory or people management experience Experience with APIs, web scraping, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud-based data solutions Strong understanding of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI concepts with the ability to review and guide technical work Experience designing or overseeing AI applications using LLMs, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector databases, and agent orchestration frameworks Experience overseeing end-to-end data pipelines, model development, AI system development, deployment, and performance monitoring in cloud environments Working knowledge of Python, R, SQL, and modern analytics platforms such as Databricks Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Bachelors degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Analytics, Data Science, AI, or a related field Masters degree in Data Science, Analytics, AI, or a related field Experience guiding teams in integrating computer vision models, data extraction pipelines, and LLM-based systems into production workflows Experience establishing standards for machine learning and AI/LLM pipelines, including cloud deployment, monitoring, governance, and lifecycle management Experience with LLM evaluation techniques and human-in-the-loop validation Experience with advanced machine learning, optimization, and dimensionality reduction techniques Understanding of responsible AI principles, data privacy, security, and governance requirements

Remote Compensation & Benefits Pay Range:
The approximate pay range for this position is between $133,000.00-$190,000.00, depending on location. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
