IDR is seeking a Sr. Agentic AI Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Colorado. This role focuses on leading technical onboarding and platform operations for enterprise AI and data engineering on cloud-based platforms. The position offers a chance to work with cutting-edge AI capabilities and large-scale data governance in a highly regulated industry environment. Position Overview for the Sr. Agentic AI Engineer Lead the onboarding of users, teams, and data domains onto the enterprise Databricks platform on AWS. Solve complex problems related to external data source integration, governance, deployment of Databricks-native AI capabilities, and cost attribution. Set technical patterns, mentor junior engineers, and own integration work to make external data and AI features accessible at enterprise scale. Execute in a hands-on capacity, requiring deep expertise in Databricks, data engineering, and practical AI/ML platforms. Collaborate across teams to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and governance. Requirements for the Sr.
Agentic AI Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or cloud data roles, with at least 3 years managing Databricks in a production environment. Advanced experience administering Databricks at scale, including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, cluster management, and job orchestration. Proficiency in CI/CD processes for Databricks deployments using Terraform, Asset Bundles, or GitLab. Mastery of Python, SQL, and PySpark for developing reliable production data pipelines.
