CACI is currently seeking a Data Scientist I in support of a program whose initiative is aimed at combating evolving and emerging threats, supporting related exploitation and replication activities, and advancing operational rehearsal, exercise, wargaming, and counter system development. Additionally, we are focusing on integration and experimentation, including Modeling and Simulation. By joining this team, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the U.S. and our allies' ability to develop and apply models and simulations throughout the lifecycle of military and commercial technologies and systems. Your work will help ensure Warfighter readiness and the realization of future capabilities. This position provides critical data science and analytics support to advance Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) simulation environments, systems engineering initiatives, and multi-domain operations effectiveness experimentation. The ideal candidate will apply established data science methodologies to mission-critical requirements, including fine-tuning existing models to improve accuracy for specific mission sets such as predictive maintenance for fleet readiness.Responsibilities:
- Apply established data science methodologies to DOW mission requirements
- Fine-tune existing AI/ML models to improve accuracy for specific mission sets, including predictive maintenance for fleet readinessSupport the development of data-driven solutions for M&S and AI systems
- Assist in creating custom analytical pipelines and tooling to meet emerging data requirements
- Support verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) of simulation models
- Work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment supporting Joint and Coalition exercises
- Perform data engineering on simulation data including data cleaning, preparation, management, integration, and feature extraction functions
- Support advanced data analytics initiatives including generative AI analysis workflows within a DOW context
- Work with structured, unstructured, and natural language datasets to extract actionable insights
- Collaborate with systems engineers, modeling and simulation developers, and operations research analysts
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field or 3 years of relevant experience (may substitute for education requirement)
Active TS/SCI Clearance Desired:
- Experience with DOW or military modeling and simulation environments
- Familiarity with Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) simulation tools
- Knowledge of Joint Theater Level Simulation - Global Operations (JTLS-GO), JLCCTC, OneSAF, or similar M&S tools
- Experience with big data platforms and cloud computing architectures
- Understanding of systems engineering principles
- Experience supporting military exercises or operations
