Job Description

Job Title:
AI Architect Job Description The AI Architect leads the exploration, design, and implementation of AI solutions and productivity automations across the organization. This role defines and drives the AI pilot roadmap, establishes internal AI standards and playbooks, and delivers production-grade automation and Power Platform solutions that create measurable business value. The AI Architect partners closely with leaders and nontechnical stakeholders to identify high-impact use cases, guide build-versus-buy decisions, and ensure successful user adoption of AI and automation tools within a growing construction-focused company that is actively building out its AI strategy. Responsibilities Define and lead the AI pilot roadmap, partnering with leaders across Administration, Engineering, IT, Energy Management, and other business functions to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-value AI and automation use cases. Own and maintain the internal AI playbook and AI usage guidelines, establishing standards for approved tools, prompt patterns, guardrails, data handling practices, and proven workflows. Document AI and automation pilots, retrospectives, and recommendations to support broader rollout and continuous improvement. Lead training sessions, demonstrations, and recurring office hours across the company, serving as a technical reference for power users and as a thoughtful, constructive voice for staff who require deeper justification before adopting new tools. Evaluate emerging AI tools, vendors, and platforms, recommend build-versus-buy decisions, and present outcomes, return on investment, and risks to leadership. Establish and maintain standards for automation and Power Platform solutions, including code quality, testing, documentation, release coordination, and post-deployment monitoring to ensure long-term maintainability and reliable handoffs. Architect and deliver production-grade automations using Python (in Docker), AWS Lambda or comparable serverless platforms, Microsoft 365, and supporting scripts in PowerShell, JavaScript, or SQL. Own the quality, monitoring, documentation, and handoff standards for automation and internal tools, ensuring solutions are robust, supportable, and well understood by stakeholders. Identify high-impact automation opportunities across departments and lead discovery, scoping, and end-to-end delivery with limited oversight. Provide technical guidance on selected IT and Microsoft 365 administrative tasks, partnering with IT on security, identity, and integration considerations. Co-administer Power Apps used by Business Development, Construction, and Engineering Operations in partnership with the Data Analytics function, leading enhancement design discussions and backlog prioritization with a third-party development partner. Own permissions, roles, data quality, and day-to-day administration across Dataverse and related environments, including leading testing cycles, release coordination, and post-release validation. Lead Salesforce-to-Power App data migration validation, reconciliation, and cutover support to ensure accurate and reliable data transitions. Build and maintain Power App dashboards for pipeline, operations, and leadership reporting, delivering clear, actionable insights to stakeholders. Produce user guides, release notes, and training materials at a quality level suitable for company-wide distribution. Communicate clearly with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, including documenting standards, presenting recommendations, and constructively challenging scope or requirements when needed to protect solution quality and maintainability. Essential Skills At least 5 years of relevant experience in business applications, automation, data engineering, AI/ML enablement, or a closely related field. Proven track record of leading at least one AI or automation initiative from ideation through user adoption with measurable business outcomes. Production experience in at least two of the following: Python, AWS Lambda or comparable serverless platforms, REST API integrations, and SQL. Strong fluency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook, and the ability to translate nontechnical stakeholder requirements into working solutions. Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document standards, present to leadership, and constructively push back on scope or requirements. Working knowledge of modern AI tools and patterns, such as ChatGPT, Copilot, SDKs, retrieval-augmented generation, and prompt design. Ability to establish and enforce standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and release management for automation and Power Platform solutions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience. Experience architecting and deploying solutions using Python in Dockerized environments. Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda or other serverless computing platforms. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and JavaScript for automation and integration tasks. Experience with

Ability to design and build dashboards and reports that support pipeline, operational, and leadership decision-making.
