Senior AI/ML Engineer - LLM & Agentic AI Systems

Job Title Senior AI/ML Engineer - LLM & Agentic AI Systems Overview / Summary We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to support the development of advanced AI and machine learning capabilities, including LLM fine-tuning oversight, agentic orchestration architecture, and AI model evaluation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in machine learning engineering, cloud-based AI platforms, MLOps, and production AI systems. Key Responsibilities Oversee fine-tuning activities for large language models using cloud-based AI platforms and proprietary datasets Design and build orchestration frameworks that integrate external AI engines with internal platforms and services Evaluate AI model outputs based on defined performance metrics and drive continuous improvement through structured feedback processes Define model evaluation frameworks and acceptance criteria for AI-generated recommendations Build tooling for model monitoring, drift detection, and retraining workflows within a cloud environment Collaborate with data engineering teams on data preparation and feature engineering requirements Partner with cloud engineering teams to ensure secure model storage, versioning, and access controls Document model architectures, training pipelines, and prompt frameworks for knowledge transfer and internal replication Participate in architecture reviews and technical discussions related to AI/ML systems Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering, AI systems development, or applied AI research Hands-on experience fine-tuning LLMs in cloud environments, preferably using Google Cloud Vertex AI or similar managed ML platforms Experience building agentic AI systems using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Google Agent Builder, or equivalent orchestration tools Strong proficiency in Python for ML pipeline development, data engineering, or platform tooling Experience with ML frameworks and tools including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, MLflow, or Vertex AI Experiments Experience designing and evaluating LLM-based production systems, including prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and model evaluation metrics Strong understanding of MLOps practices including model versioning, deployment pipelines, monitoring, and retraining workflows Experience working with Google Cloud Platform services such as Vertex AI, BigQuery, GCS, Dataflow, or Cloud Composer Experience applying data governance principles including access controls, data lineage, metadata management, and compliance standards Strong communication and technical documentation skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets in production AI/ML environments Preferred Qualifications Experience with telematics or connected data platforms Familiarity with event streaming and telemetry data processing Experience with multi-agent AI systems and tool-use patterns in production Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer certification Experience in regulated or IP-sensitive environments What Makes HTC A Great Place To Build Your Future HTC Global Services wants you to join our team.
