April 2, 2026 Full-Time On-site Locations Showing 1 location Salem, NH 03079, USA Job Details Description About the Role We're building the next generation of airport security screening solutions—leveraging breakthroughs in machine learning, deep learning, 3D imaging, and open network architectures. We're looking for a Principal Engineer & Technical Leader to define the vision and lead a high-impact engineering team from early concept through full product realization. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll shape both technology strategy and execution, making critical contributions across our aviation security business. What You'll Do Lead & Inspire:
Guide a team of engineers in developing advanced threat detection algorithms using machine learning, deep learning, and classical approaches
Drive Innovation:
Create novel, high-impact solutions for complex detection and classification challenges Own the

Define technical strategy, project scope, milestones, and execution plans Build the
Future:
Develop tools and methodologies for data analysis, testing, and explainable AI
Collaborate Cross-Functionally:
Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to align on goals and deliverables
Deliver Results:
Manage technical risks, ensure timelines are met, and contribute to high-value commercial products
Communicate Clearly:
Translate complex technical ideas into clear documentation, reports, and presentations What You Bring Advanced degree (MS with 10+ years' experience, or PhD with 5+ years' experience) in a relevant scientific or engineering field Strong expertise in: Machine vision, data science, and software engineering Object detection and classification problems Algorithm development (traditional + ML + deep learning) Hands-on experience with tools like Python, MATLAB, C++, and Excel across Windows and Linux environments Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras (CUDA experience is a plus) Experience with explainable AI is a plus Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across teams
