This role is intended for a technically strong, adaptable professional who can contribute to AI/ML research and development efforts while also supporting proposals, white papers, and business development activities. Thi s position will play an important role in both the execution of technical work and the growth of new opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring strong AI/ML and computer science expertise, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in both project and proposal environments. We are seeking someone who is not only technically capable, but also a strong team fit—someone who can help carry higher-level technical workload, collaborate effectively, and contribute to the long-term success of the lab. Res ponsibilities
  • S upport AI/ML-focused technical efforts within the AAIM Lab
  • C ontribute to the design, development, and application of AI/ML solutions for research and contract efforts
  • S upport execution of technical projects across applied research, engineering, and data-driven initiatives
  • C ontribute significantly to: Pro posal development Wh i te papers Te c hnical volumes Bu s iness development and growth efforts
  • A ssist in shaping technical approaches for new opportunities
  • S upport or serve in technical lead and/or Principal Investigator-type roles, as appropriate based on qualifications and project needs
  • W ork closely with lab leadership to help manage higher-level technical workload
  • C ollaborate across teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • C ommunicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Th is position is designed to be flexible, with responsibilities evolving to meet business needs and enable individual growth. Req uirements
  • M aster's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related technical field
  • M inimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • S trong technical background in AI/ML, computer science, or related applied engineering fields
  • E xperience supporting or contributing significantly to proposals, white papers, or technical business development efforts
  • S trong written and verbal communication skills
  • A bility to work both independently and collaboratively
  • M ust be local and available to work in-office as needed Pre ferred Qualifications
  • 5 -8 years of relevant experience strongly preferred
  • E xperience developing or applying machine learning models, data-driven systems, or AI-enabled solutions
  • E xperience supporting R D, prototype development, or applied technical research
  • E xperience contributing to winning proposals and strategic growth initiatives
  • A bility to support lead technical or Principal Investigator responsibilities
  • D emonstrated versatility, adaptability, and initiative in a collaborative lab environment Ide al Candidate Th e ideal candidate is:
