  • AI Engineer, Agentic Customer Workflows
  • to help build and scale innovative AI-powered customer experiences.

This position is ideal for a backend-focused engineer with strong experience deploying AI and Generative AI solutions in production environments. In this role, you will design and develop real-time AI systems, integrate LLMs and machine learning models into scalable applications, and deliver production-ready AI capabilities that directly impact customer outcomes. You will partner closely with product and engineering teams while owning AI features throughout the full lifecycle, from development and deployment to monitoring and optimization. This is not a traditional data engineering position focused on ETL processes or batch data pipelines. Instead, the role centers on backend services, model integration, API development, AI evaluations, and production infrastructure.



Required Skills & Experience + 4+ years of backend software engineering experience using Python, Go, Java, or similar languages + 4+ years of experience integrating machine learning or large language models into production environments

+ Experience building and maintaining APIs, backend services, and microservices

+ Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and observability practices

+ Experience implementing monitoring, evaluation, and quality frameworks for AI systems

+ Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment Desired Skills & Experience

+ Experience building Generative AI applications and agentic workflows

+ Hands-on experience with real-time AI platforms and model-serving infrastructure

+ Experience supporting and optimizing AI features after deployment

+ Background collaborating with product and engineering teams on architecture and technical strategy

+ Passion for building scalable, reliable, and customer-focused AI solutions What You Will Be Doing

  • Daily Responsibilities: 100% Hands-On Engineering
  • + Design, build, and optimize backend services, APIs, and microservices that support AI-powered workflows + Integrate machine learning and LLM solutions into scalable production systems + Own AI-driven features from development through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement + Build evaluation frameworks to measure and improve LLM quality and performance + Troubleshoot issues across AI services, model-serving infrastructure, and backend platforms + Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system architecture, technical planning, and product initiatives + Enhance system scalability, reliability, observability, and overall performance The Offer + Full-time opportunity + Hybrid work schedule with 3 days onsite per week in the Waltham, MA area + Base salary: •$127,000 - $220,000•+ Annual performance-based incentive opportunity You will receive the following benefits: + Medical Insurance + Dental Benefits + Vision Benefits + Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) + 401(k) Plan + Parental Leave + Life Insurance + Disability Coverage •Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
