Akkodis is seeking an AI/ML Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience building production-grade AI/ML solutions, including RAG systems, embeddings, and scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms.

Rate Range:

$65/Hour to $70/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

AI/ML Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

Architect, build, and maintain scalable data products that process and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured engineering data. Develop and deploy production-grade AI/ML solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, semantic search, and agentic AI workflows. Design and optimize data pipelines, orchestration frameworks, and near real-time processing systems with strong reliability and observability. Lead cloud-native development initiatives using containerization, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and CI/CD practices for secure deployments. Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, and system reliability through monitoring, validation, incident management, and performance optimization. Create analytics and decision-support tools that convert complex technical data into actionable insights for engineering teams and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience building and supporting production software, data engineering, or AI/ML systems. Hands-on experience developing and deploying RAG, generative AI, embeddings, and scalable data pipeline solutions using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (preferably GCP). Proven ability to architect, operate, and optimize reliable data products, distributed workloads, and AI-driven analytics solutions with strong focus on system reliability, data quality, and performance.
