Part-time/Contract Pay:

The Impact You'll Make As a Full Stack Web, AI, and Database Engineer, you'll help design, build, and optimize the systems that power our learning platform. This role sits at the intersection of front-end experience, back-end architecture, cloud infrastructure, and database performance. You'll play a key role in supporting and improving systems that currently span both Microsoft Azure database services and AWS RDS. Your work will directly impact how students, educators, and administrators interact with our platform by ensuring our applications are reliable, scalable, secure, and built for long-term growth. What You'll Do Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly interfaces using React or similar modern front-end frameworks. Build robust, scalable back-end services and APIs using Node.js, Express, Python, or similar technologies. Design, manage, and optimize SQL databases across cloud environments, including Azure database services and AWS RDS. Support data migration, synchronization, performance tuning, backup strategies, and reliability across multiple database platforms. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend integrations that connect platform features, user data, learning content, and AI-powered functionality. Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to deliver features from concept to deployment. Improve system architecture, application performance, security, and scalability across front-end, back-end, and database layers. Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and operational best practices. Troubleshoot production issues across applications, APIs, cloud services, and databases. Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and mentor junior developers. What You'll Bring Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, Backend Engineer, Database Engineer, or similar role. Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern web development practices. Experience with React or similar front-end frameworks. Strong server-side development experience with Node.js, Express, Python, or similar technologies. Hands-on experience designing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL databases. Experience working with both Microsoft Azure database services and AWS RDS. Familiarity with database performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, data modeling, backups, migrations, and high-availability practices. Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, authentication, authorization, and secure data handling. Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS and Azure. Comfort working across application code, infrastructure, databases, and third-party integrations. A problem-solving mindset and a passion for clean, maintainable, well-documented code. Interest in AI-powered applications, learning technology, and building products that serve students and educators. Nice to Have Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or other relational database systems. Experience migrating or synchronizing data between Azure and AWS environments. Familiarity with DevOps practices, infrastructure-as-code, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud monitoring tools.
