Job Description

Company Description iCode provides engaging STEAM education for students in grades K-12 through hands-on, technology-driven learning experiences. Our programs incorporate cutting-edge tools such as VEX robotics, drones, 3D printers, and Arduinos, along with industry-standard courses in Python and Java. Students also explore specialized topics including Minecraft Modding, Lua in Roblox, and digital artistry. Delivered in small-group learning environments at our hubs, iCode programs foster both technical proficiency and essential soft skills. At iCode, we are committed to developing the whole student, preparing learners for academic success and future careers. Role Description This is an on-site role for a
K-12 STEAM
Instructor located in Lynnwood, WA. The STEAM Instructor will be responsible for leading and facilitating engaging classes focusing on subjects such as robotics, game design, computer programming, and digital arts. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, conducting classes, evaluating student progress, and fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment. The instructor will also be responsible for maintaining the classroom tech and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. Qualifications Experience in Robotics, Game Design (Unreal Engine 5, Unity), Computer Programming, Digital Arts, Minecraft & Roblox programming (other related fields) Strong skills in facilitating and teaching small-group classes Ability to engage in self directed learning using the provided curriculum Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Python, Java, HTML & CSS, and other programming languages Ability to work collaboratively with students and staff Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage classroom technology Experience with educational technology tools is a plus Motivated by STEM-related challenges and learning opportunities Bachelor's degree in Education, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
