RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides biostatistical and programming support to staff doing clinical research at the Medical Center. Performs statistical planning, design, analyses, interpretations, and presentations. Designs, develops, and implements statistical and data collection tools, and other clinical research application systems as assigned.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential:
sitting, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object.
Frequent:
sitting.
Occasional:
standing, walking, stooping/bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Operates (equipment). computer, calculator, printer, copier, telephone, facsimile.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
Master's degree in statistics or epidemiology with undergraduate work in computer science or information systems. Comprehensive knowledge of major statistical software, such as SAS, and working knowledge of database and applications systems development using a RDBMS, such as FoxPro or
ACCESS. B. EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years experience performing statistical analyses using major statistical software, such as SAS. Experience in developing databases and computerized application systems.
