Job Description
The Scientist II works on complex projects related to the field with minimal supervision. Has a wide latitude for independent judgement and may assist less-experienced peers. Works on problems of moderate to large scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Contributes technical proficiency and scientific creativity. Works both collaboratively and independently. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrates potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought. Works on problems of moderate to large scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Works under minimal supervision. Wide latitude for independent judgment Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Highly-skilled with extensive proficiency. Works on complex projects related to field. Minimum Job Qualifications Advanced degree preferred. Six to nine years experience post undergraduate degree. One to two year work experience post education.
