Make an Impact Through Research We are seeking a Biostatistician to join our growing research team. This position is being added due to increasing project volume and offers the opportunity to work closely with physicians, investigators, and research staff on a wide variety of clinical and research initiatives. As a Biostatistician, you will help researchers design studies, identify and organize data, perform statistical analyses, and communicate meaningful results that support scientific discovery and evidence-based decision making. This role offers exposure to a broad range of projects rather than a narrow specialty, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys continuous learning, variety, and collaboration. You'll join a small, highly collaborative team of biostatisticians where your input is valued, feedback is readily available, and you can help shape how work gets done. What You'll Do Collaborate with physicians, investigators, and research staff to develop research studies and statistical analysis plans Provide guidance on research design, methodology, feasibility assessments, and sample size calculations Identify, acquire, and validate research data from Epic and other available data sources Work with stakeholders to determine data requirements and assess data availability and limitations Extract, organize, and prepare data for statistical analysis Conduct statistical analyses using R and other research tools Interpret findings and present results through reports, visualizations, presentations, manuscripts, and publications Support randomization processes, power analyses, and other statistical research activities Ensure data integrity and statistical accuracy throughout the research process Educate residents, fellows, researchers, and other learners on research methods and statistical concepts Stay current with evolving statistical methodologies and analytical techniques Participate in departmental projects and perform other duties as assigned Team & Work Environment This role is part of a team of biostatisticians supporting internal research requests across the organization. Work is managed through a queue-based process, with projects prioritized based on submission timing and research deadlines. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic, providing opportunities to work on a diverse range of studies and initiatives.
What You'll Need:
Education Required Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field OR Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field and three (3) years of experience acquiring and analyzing data in a medical setting Preferred PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field Experience Required One (1) year of experience acquiring, analyzing, and presenting data results in a medical or healthcare setting Technical Qualifications Required Experience using R for statistical analysis and reporting Preferred Experience working with healthcare data Knowledge of Epic reporting and data environments, including Clarity and Caboodle Experience supporting clinical or academic research initiatives Training will be provided for Epic-related tools and data environments as needed.
