Summary:

Supports faculty, residents and fellows and research academic development by assisting in the design, analysis, and reporting of clinical, translational, observational research projects and/or quality improvement initiatives. Serves as expert with advanced knowledge in statistical programming and provides input on study design selection, data collection, data interpretation, sample size and power calculation. Also, assists with developing statistical methods sections and analytical plans for research protocols, grant applications, and publications. Performs data analyses using advanced statistical tools, derives variables using statistical software, cleans data, and prepares organized and clear summaries of analysis results. Develops and provides training and educational sessions on biostatistics.

Minimum Qualifications:

Formal Education Required:

a. PhD in biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, data science or a related field b. Additional coursework in epidemiology, public health, biology, or medicine, preferred 2.

Experience & Training Required:

a. Advanced knowledge in data analysis and statistical programming using SAS, SPSS, R, Python, SQL, or similar b. Four (4) or more years of experience in a statistician or data analyst capacity c. Experience contributing to the writing of manuscripts, abstracts, and other publications documenting study findings, preferred d. Healthcare experience, preferred e. Experience in using REDCap for data collection and management, preferred 3.
