Job Description
CSL Behring seeks a Director, Epidemiology to lead real-world evidence strategies supporting plasma-derived and recombinant therapies for rare and serious diseases. You will design and oversee observational studies, analyze large healthcare databases, and generate insights that inform development, safety, and value propositions. Partner with clinical, safety, HEOR, and commercial teams to shape product strategy, support regulatory and reimbursement submissions, and publish high-impact research in a patient-focused, science-driven, global biotech environment. Responsibilities Lead epidemiology strategy for CSL Behring's rare disease portfolio Design and oversee observational and real-world evidence studies Analyze large healthcare and claims databases to generate clinical and safety insights Support regulatory, safety, and reimbursement submissions with epidemiologic data Collaborate with clinical development, pharmacovigilance, HEOR, and commercial teams Develop and maintain epidemiologic models for disease burden and treatment impact Ensure scientific and methodological rigor in study design, conduct, and reporting Manage external research partners and academic collaborations Communicate findings to internal stakeholders and external scientific audiences Contribute to publications, presentations, and scientific thought leadership Required Skills Epidemiologic study design Real-world evidence generation Biostatistics and data analysis Use of large healthcare databases Observational research methods Regulatory and HEOR knowledge Scientific writing and publication Cross-functional leadership Project and portfolio management Presentation and communication skills
