Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ERP Administrator / Business Systems Administrator to manage, support, and continuously improve our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. This role will be responsible for daily ERP administration, user support, process optimization, data maintenance, reporting support, system documentation, and third-party system integrations. The ideal candidate should understand core ERP business processes and be able to support departments, including Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Warehouse, Finance, and Operations. This role will also collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, ERP implementation partners, EDI providers, and third-party software providers to improve system stability, data accuracy, and business efficiency. Key Responsibilities Administer, maintain, configure, and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on a daily basis. Manage ERP user accounts, roles, permissions, and access controls to ensure system security and compliance. Support core ERP workflows, including sales orders, purchase orders, inventory, warehouse operations, finance, order processing, invoicing, and reporting. Troubleshoot and follow up on ERP issues, including user operation questions, system errors, data exceptions, and workflow bottlenecks. Maintain master data such as customers, vendors, items, pricing, inventory, and order-related records to ensure accuracy and consistency. Translate business needs into ERP configurations, process improvements, operating procedures, or system enhancement requests. Support reports, data exports, data analysis, and management-level business data requests. Support integrations between Dynamics 365 Business Central and third-party systems, including EDI, API-based integrations, WMS, CRM, eCommerce platforms, Power Automate, reporting systems, file import/export processes, and other third-party add-ons. Coordinate with ERP partners, software vendors, EDI providers, and implementation consultants to resolve integration issues, system errors, upgrades, and project deliverables. Participate in system upgrades, sandbox testing, UAT, functional enhancements, and change management activities. Create and maintain ERP documentation, SOPs, training materials, issue logs, and system process documentation. Provide ERP training and day-to-day guidance to internal users to improve system adoption and operational efficiency.
Qualifications Required:
5+ years of experience in ERP administration, ERP support, ERP implementation, or business systems management. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is strongly preferred. Solid understanding of core ERP business processes, including sales, purchasing, inventory, warehouse, finance, order processing, and reporting. Experience with user permission management, master data maintenance, system configuration, issue troubleshooting, process optimization, and documentation. Experience supporting third-party system integrations such as EDI, APIs, WMS, CRM, eCommerce platforms, Power Automate, reporting tools, or file-based data exchange processes. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into system configurations, process solutions, or user documentation. Strong English reading, writing, and communication skills; able to read technical documentation and system error messages and communicate with vendors or implementation partners through email and meetings. Strong Excel skills, including data cleanup, import/export, validation, and basic analysis. Strong problem-solving ability, cross-functional communication skills, execution discipline, and sense of ownership.
Preferred:
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central implementation, migration, or upgrade projects. Familiarity with Business Central Admin Center, Configuration Packages, Edit in Excel, Sandbox environments, User Permissions, Workflows, and related administration features. Experience with Power BI, SQL, Power Automate, Power Apps, or Azure. Knowledge of EDI transaction workflows such as 850, 855, 856, and 810. Experience with AL extensions, Business Central customization, or collaboration with development teams. Experience in manufacturing, distribution, inventory management, supply chain, finance, or eCommerce environments. Experience with ERP project management, UAT testing, change management, or system governance
