POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Intelligence & Solutions Analyst supports National Raisin Company's manufacturing and supply chain operations by delivering business intelligence, reporting, analytics, and system solutions that strengthen operational performance and enable informed decision-making. Partnering with Operations, Planning, Production, Procurement, Inventory, Shipping, and Finance, the analyst evaluates business processes, develops reporting and automation solutions, enhances data integrity, and recommends improvements that advance organizational efficiency and performance. In this capacity, the role leverages business intelligence tools, ERP system, automation technologies, and AI-enabled productivity tools, exercising independent judgment, ensuring the accuracy and auditability of data, and advancing a culture of continuous improvement.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Systems & Planning Support
  • Support, enhance, and maintain the company's Demand-to-Supply (D2S) planning process and related operational systems.
  • Analyze business requirements and recommend improvements to operational processes and reporting.
  • Support planning, inventory management, scheduling, warehouse operations, procurement, and production through effective system utilization.
  • Develop business solutions that improve operational efficiency and support management decision-making. Business Intelligence & Reporting
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and performance metrics.
  • Develop data models using Power BI, DAX, and Power Query to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
  • Analyze operational performance trends and provide meaningful insights to management.
  • Develop standardized KPI reporting for Operations and Executive Leadership. ERP Systems & Data Management
  • Extract, transform, validate, and reconcile data from Microsoft Dynamics NAV and other business systems.
  • Maintain reliable, documented, and auditable data processes.
  • Identify data quality issues and implement corrective solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT group and business users to improve system functionality and reporting capabilities. Process Improvement & Automation
  • Evaluate existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement.
  • Develop automation solutions using Power Query, Excel, Python, VBA, or other approved business technologies.
  • Utilize AI-enabled productivity tools, when appropriate, to improve development efficiency while maintaining data accuracy and business standards.
  • Recommend process improvements that reduce manual work and improve operational effectiveness. Operational Partnership
  • Maintain regular interaction with production and warehouse operations to understand business needs.
  • Observe operational workflows to ensure reporting and business tools accurately reflect plant operations.
  • Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives.
  • Present recommendations and analytical findings to management. Documentation & Project Ownership
  • Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, automation, and business processes.
  • Ensure developed solutions are sustainable, maintainable, and properly documented.
  • Independently manage assigned projects from planning through implementation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in business systems, operations analysis, business intelligence, manufacturing analytics, ERP administration, or related experience.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Business process analysis
  • Microsoft Power BI (including DAX and Power Query)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • SQL and relational databases
  • ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central preferred)
  • Data modeling and reporting
  • Process improvement methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to independently prioritize work and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make recommendations to management
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing, food processing, agriculture, or supply chain operations
  • Python or other scripting language for business process automation
  • Knowledge of forecasting, inventory planning, or production scheduling
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools used in business analytics
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience Physical Requirements
  • Work primarily in an office environment.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to regularly walk production and warehouse areas.
  • Ability to climb stairs and tolerate seasonal temperatures, dust, and manufacturing noise while visiting production areas.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
