Updated 08/2026 Job Description Job Summary Barnes Aerospace is seeking an experienced ERP Subject Matter Expert (SME). This individual will support a business transformation initiative and serve as the sites functional ERP expert, helping optimize business processes, improve data integrity, support users across multiple departments, and drive ERP adoption across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience supporting ERP systems within a manufacturing environment and will act as the bridge between business operations and technology. While experience with Infor SyteLine is highly preferred, candidates with expertise in other manufacturing ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, QAD, or similar systems are encouraged to apply. Position Summary The ERP SME will play a key role in ERP data consolidation, validation, process standardization, user training, and system optimization. This individual will work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance, IT, and project stakeholders to ensure the ERP system effectively supports business objectives and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Serve as the sites primary ERP Subject Matter Expert (SME) and business process expert. Lead ERP data cleansing, validation, migration, and governance activities to establish and maintain a reliable source of business data. Support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of ERP functionality. Configure and maintain ERP processes to align with operational and manufacturing requirements. Develop, document, and standardize business processes, workflows, and system procedures. Create and maintain user guides, training materials, and work instructions. Deliver ERP training and provide ongoing support to end users across multiple functional areas. Act as the primary liaison between business users, project teams, IT, and external implementation partners. Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities. Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams to validate ERP data and support business intelligence initiatives. Monitor system adoption and identify opportunities to improve data quality, efficiencies, and user experience. Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance system effectiveness and streamline business processes. Provide day-to-day functional support and troubleshooting for ERP users. Qualifications 5+ years of experience supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing environment. Experience serving as an ERP Subject Matter Expert, Business Systems Analyst, Functional Lead, Business Process Owner, or similar role. Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including: Production Planning Inventory Management Purchasing Bills of Material (BOMs) Routings Quality Systems Shop Floor Control Experience with ERP data management, validation, and process improvement. Proven ability to train users, facilitate workshops, and drive adoption of new systems and processes. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and leadership teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Infor SyteLine (CSI). Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or data migrations. Aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience. Experience with Power BI or other reporting and analytics tools. Knowledge of master data governance and continuous improvement methodologies.
